Lessons
Jaime Thorne is an experienced professional French horn performer who has taught private lessons for over ten years. Most recently, her student Bethany Croxton of Groton CT, won the United States Coast Guard Concerto Competition in 2009 and is now on full scholarship attending the University of Massachusetts, majoring in Music Education. Other former students have enrolled at the Hart School of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, prestigious music conservatories. Her students have won jobs with the Altoona Symphony, the U.S. Army Field Band, and the National Repertory Orchestra, and have been finalists for the Harrisburg Symphony and the U.S. Coast Guard Band. While teaching privately in Pennsylvania, many of her students performed in Pennsylvania's All-State Band and All-State Orchestra over multiple years.
Jaime is a certified music educator who, aside from teaching French Horn, can teach all brass instruments. A former trombone student of hers is attending the Cleveland Institute of Music.
